A fashion show like never before

For the first time ever, Milan Men's Fashion Week has moved beyond its familiar surroundings. In all exclusivity and thanks to the latest technology, Dirk Bikkembergs has hosted the first inter-continental fashion show from Cape Town straight to Piazza Duomo in Milan.

For the last decade, Dirk Bikkembergs has been perfecting his creative philosophy that "Football is Fashion". It was also ten years ago when Dirk first fell in love with South Africa. So, when South Africa won the draw to host the 2010 FIFA World Cup, his immediate reaction was "I have to be there!" Later, when he learned that the Milan Men's Fashion Week coincided with the World Cup, the idea arose to combine two passions and use it as a background for the SS2011 Dirk Bikkembergs Sport Couture fashion show.

The result was broadcasted to the invited press and to the general public on Piazza Duomo in Milan, as well as on the Internet via live streaming.
